One year on from the referendum, the future relationship between Britain and Europe is as unclear as it was on the morning of 24th June.
We are meeting up at 5.30pm outside the Haymarket Metro station in Newcastle on the anniversary of the referendum, in a city that voted to remain in the EU, to celebrate and affirm that whichever EU country we are from, we are all Europeans Together, and that we want to be able to stay united as Europeans able to live, work, contribute to and move freely between our various countries.
We are aiming to have speakers representing a range of EU nationalities in the UK, and UK nationals living or working in other parts of the EU. It is not just that EU citizens are welcome here, but that we are all Europeans, that we value our diversity, our freedom to move between countries, and the value that we all bring to the countries and economies where we reside.
This rally will be one of a number of events happening across the country on 23rd and 24th June, please join us if you can, bring flags (EU flags or any of the 28 EU national flags), tell your friends, and invite them too.
