Rally against Brexit

Our next North East for Europe rally will be at Grey's Monument on March 25th. Almost one year after invoking article 50, and nearly two years after the referendum, the difficulties, dangers and chaos of Brexit are becoming all too clear for many people.

Come and join us at Grey's Monument between 2pm and 4pm to show your support for remaining in the European Union, and to listen to a range of speakers of national and local renown:

Speakers are:

Lord Adonis (former Labour Minister and one of the leading critics of Brexit)
Mike Galsworthy - Scientists for the EU
John Appleby (Newcastle University)
Wendy Taylor (Newcastle City Councillor and Consultant at the Freeman Hospital)
Michal Chantkowski (Green Party)
Phil Brookes (retired GP)
Professor Tanja Bueltmann (EU citizen and leading Brexit critic)
Lord Shipley (Liberal Democrat)

Music from Connor Dixon and Madeleina Kay.

Hosted again by the wonderful Jacky Collins.

You are also warmly invited to join us after the rally for a social at the Tyneside Irish Centre (children most welcome).

The rally is part of Regional Rallies 2018, a country wide initiative of events small and large, happening over the weekend.
